That night we were all evacuated from campus. It was touching how many people were willing to help those who did not have a place to stay. I heard even hotels in town allowed evacuated students to stay for free. I also heard there were less than 30 people who stayed at the school provided lodging. I myself stayed with my sister. Hospitality is an important aspect of my school and people were de finely hospitable that night.
It's crazy how plans can change so rapidly! I had planned to do some serious studying for my chemistry test that I would have the next day, but when we saw the flames coming up, those plans burned right up with the grass! My teacher was kind enough to move the test date, though.
All in all, that's been some pretty exciting stuff that's happened to me! Im definitely "fired up" to go home and end this chapter of my first year of college.
Time to finish these finals and start summer! See you soon, family!! :D
