It's way too easy to take things for granted. This year was my first Thanksgiving away from my family and boy was it hard! However, I learned this year that I should be thankful for the previous Thanksgivings that I got to spend with my family and to be thankful for the present holiday filled with positive "firsts." I had a ton of firsts this year so I will compile a list:
1. First time in Minnesota
2. First time experiencing life in a small town
3. First time making "Krumkake," a Norwegian cookie that is shaped like a cone then filled with whipped cream (it's super delicious btw)
4. First time helping with a float for a parade
5. First time Black Friday/ Brown Thursday shopping at night
6. First time milking a cow!!!!
7. First time having McDonald's since I left for college all the way back in August!
Anyways, sometimes life doesn't go exactly as you want it. Does that mean you stop living? Of course not. :) It's hard, but sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and be grateful for what you DO have. Doesn't mean you won't be sad, but it does help you have some fun :)
Milking a cow !!!

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. Stay focus on Him. See you soon....
